Mac users are now among those who can benefit from Microsoft Business Productivity Online Services (Microsoft BPOS) Sign-In application.

Because of increasing requirements and queries on how to use Macs with Microsoft Online Services, Microsoft have been developing a Mac Sign-In application to provide Mac users with the same “single-sign-in” functionality provided to our PC users.

After installing and signing-in to this application, a user can send and receive Microsoft Exchange Online e-mail and access SharePoint Online sites from existing Mac without having to sign-in multiple times. This application will also configure Entourage to connect to personal Exchange Online mailbox.

While the core of BPOS services can be accessed from any web browser regardless of Operating System, the Mac Sign-In application permits signing into a user’s BPOS account once for access to all services. Without the Mac Sign-In application a user would be prompted for login credentials for each Microsoft BPOS service, including Outlook Web Access, SharePoint Portal, and Office Live Communications. It also provides a convenient clickable icon for launching each of these services.
